It is non-toxic and pyrogen-free. Further, it is also sterilized by ETO (Ethylene Oxide) gas. For better flow control, it has a specially designed roller clamp. However, for self-sealing, it comes with a superior quality of latex tubing/flash bulb with a 200-micron filter and standard size surface area (10 sq. cm). Transfusions of red blood cells, platelets, and plasma are the most typical.
